Project Details
At Hull Royal Infirmary in the middle of the COVID global pandemic they needed to create 2 brand new wards to be used exclusively for COVID-19 patients. SRS were on site as the design & build contractors to implement the mechanical and electrical elements of the project. The wards each had 26 beds, shower spaces, ward kitchens, utility rooms and storage space.

Thank you from myself and the organisation for the exceptional work delivered by all the teams in creating the new COVID-19 cubicles in Ward 37 and Ward 38. The hard work dedication by the sub-contractors to complete all the work in the timescale and quality is a fantastic credit to everyone involved. These facilities will make a massive difference on how the trust can safely manage COVID-19 Positive patients during the pandemic.

A Note from SRS
The project was delivered in a very short timescale at a time that the construction industry was under enormous pressure. Our team continued to be always professional within the healthcare environment. They managed themselves and their work alongside infection control, increased health and safety measures. We are very proud of the team involved in delivering such an importance project for the people of Hull.
